Ocular Health Exams

We do more than eyeglasses and contacts! The eye doctors at Wells Branch Vision Care are experts in all aspects of the eye and visual system. Our doctors are primary health care providers who examine, diagnose, and manage diseases of the visual system and associated structures as well as diagnose related systemic conditions. We prescribe medications to treat eye diseases and perform certain surgical procedures.

Eye Health Evaluation

Annual eye health evaluations are very important, as elevated pressure in the eye may indicate that a patient has a greater risk for glaucoma. We perform comprehensive eye examinations that thoroughly evaluate the eye from the cornea to the tissue surrounding the eye. This is a very important examination for all patients, but especially for patients over the age of 60, as the risk for eye disease increases with age. While there is no prevention treatment for glaucoma, early diagnosis and treatment can greatly control the disease and help prevent vision loss.

Eye Focusing and Evaluation

Wells Branch Vision Care utilizes tonometry to assess eye motility and focusing. This advanced technology allows us to determine if a patient’s eyes are focusing and moving properly. Our doctors collaborate their knowledge and expertise to gather full-spectrum insights on where weaknesses in the eye may be occurring, potentially resulting in the patient experiencing difficulties in focusing their eyes.
